In a daily basis, Kaspar will take 2 meals since when he was 5 month's old. Prior to that, He was taking 3 meals a day. The purpose of consistently measuring his weight at his growing stage was also trying to determine how much food to feed to him. From many write-ups, the estimation is about 3-5% of his weight of food per day.

Defrosted chicken wings
Usually I would feed him chicken wings for 1 of the meal.

Waiting for me to give command to proceed to eat.
I have trained kaspar to listen to commands rather than rushing to his meals.
Before I placed his bowl on the floor, I would ask him to sit. Just say "Sit", then hand signal with verbal voice " wait" while placing the bowl on the floor. He would stay very still, focus very much on the bowl till I say " ok, eat". I could walk away out of kitchen, without my presence, he would still stay waiting for me to come back to give him the command.
Training him is easy. I think only took a day for him to understand the required manners from him. Yes initially he would just hopping and look so greedy, super active whenever it was meal time. Repeatedly ask him to sit, if he failed to sit do not place the bowl on the floor. when I tried to place the bowl on the floor, he would move or run towards it, I would remove the bowl from the ground. So repeatedly till he understood that if he did not cooperate with me, it would delayed his meal time.

happily biting his bones

always finish up his meal in less than a minute
I have been giving Kaspar raw meat and bones eversince he lives in. A friend recommended me to read a book, " Give your dog a bone" written by Dr Ian Billinghurst. I got enlightened and agreed very much on what have been analysed and researched. Therefore, decided to give my poodle barf diet. I started giving him the ready packed patties from Australia, there is a Spore distributor,

the Barf packaging
I became adventurous and buy fresh meat like lamb, beef, chicken & pork for Kaspar too. I pre-packed them to a meal sized portion before putting them in the freezer.
Kaspar would be able to get more nutrition from the wholesome raw food. Would be able to prevent the side effects from eating processed food, grain based diet.
What a dog need is 70% protein, 30% vegetable/carbo/fats (taken from the book). Therefore I also gave Kaspar some fruits if we are eating. He basically eats everything. When I am feeding my hamster, he came to ask for food too.
The benefits I have observed:
1. no tartar on his teeth, need not clean his teeth. (tartar is cause by the carbo ingredients in the kibbles or cooked rice).
2. very little poo cos most of the food can be digest easily, poo has no strong smell.
3. drink less water but pee almost like usual as there is moisture in the barf diet.
4. Kaspar do not have the typical dog smell on his body.
5. He do not develop any kind of skin allergies so far.
